I drop the Jump Jets for higher ground speed which is very, very important - getting into, and staying in range is the most important quality for a close-range 'mech. Having a high speed allows you to exploit openings much easier. If you're confident in your abilities, drop armour for more speed. The two major options for backup weapons is either 4 heavy or extended-range small lasers or 2 extended-range medium lasers; the arms on the HBII are shot away fairly quickly because they're a good way to shield your more important gun-racks and centre torso. Hence it's not a good idea to put too much firepower in the arms, plus the arm guns on the HBII have have weird points of convergence that make them difficult to use well in a brawl. Your mileage with back-up options may vary depending on your preferences and play-style0. Small lasers give fantastic damage output for their tonnage, but I tend to prefer the better range profile of the mediums - the extra firepower means nothing if I can't get into range for a shot. Often too, if you are at the range where small lasers can be used you are often in serious trouble already as well. Works best in urban or fortress maps, maps with a lot of very steep hills/cliffs, or maps that encourage close combat. RuinedCityHolds, RoyalGuard, ResistanceClash are ideal - use the relatively smaller size of the HBII and it's thin sideways profile to get behind big assaults and slice through the rear armour. Even better in a pack; but either way the trick is to get the first shot in and use your small size to hide from counter-attacks. |Left Arm Weapon=Heavy Small Laser (or empty) |Right Arm Weapon=Heavy Small Laser (or ER medium laser) |Left Torso Weapon=Heavy Small Laser (or ER medium laser) |Right Torso Weapon=Heavy Small Laser (or empty) |Special 1 Weapon=CLBX 20 |Special 2 Weapon=CLBX20 |Custom Mech Variant Link=Hunchback IIC Walking Shotgun.mw4 |Notes=Created by Quasimodo |Categories= }} Ratings
